The Christmas Story Parade & Live Nativity (Scarborough Town Centre, from 2009-12-13 12:00 to 2009-12-13 13:00) — by Malcolm Hall

Angels, Shepherds and Kings accompanied by donkeys will parade through the town centre to a live Nativity outside the old Woolworths store on Westborough. Parade will start at Queen Street at approx 12.00 noon.

Winter Wonderland Weekend (Scarborough Town Centre, from 2009-12-05 10:00 to 2009-12-06 16:30) — by Malcolm Hall

Saturday brings a host of street entertainment including, the snow machine, bands, face painters and much more. Sunday brings the annual Reindeer Parade starting from Queen Street to Alma Square through Newborough & Westborough precinct area. Starting approx 1pm

Children's Design-A-Light Switch-On (Vernon Road & Bar Street, from 2009-11-29 16:30 to 2009-11-29 17:00) — by Malcolm Hall

Two Christmas motif lights made from winning designs of local school children will be switched on by the winners and the mayor at approx 4.30pm. The first motif at Vernon Road and then on to Bar Street.

Christmas Lights Illuminated Parade Switch-On (Scarborough Town Centre, from 2009-11-15 16:15 to 2009-11-15 17:15) — by Malcolm Hall

An illuminated parade will carry the Mayor, Santa and Scarborough’s Christmas Princess who will wave her wand and Scarborough’s Christmas Lights will be switched on as the parade travels from Queen Street, through Newborough and Westborough before leaving via York Place.

Are you going to Scarborough Fayre? The week's event will feature top class entertainments, a fantastic Continental Market and a craft fair at the Brunswick Shopping Centre (TBC). Approximately 40 stalls will be at the Continental Market selling a wide variety of products.

Youth Brass Bands from all over Scandinavia compete and perform in this annual event. Performing at venues throughout the town but daily in Westborough near the entrance to the Brunswick Shopping Centre.
